If you chair an LHNC committee or are a representative of LHNC for an outside agency, this is where you can submit your reports.
Reports are due 21 days before the General Meeting
That is the deadline, not an early target. The full count-back is below.
Send your report
If you would prefer to send your report via email, send it to latahvalleync@gmail.com. Attach anything that supports it — a map, a photo, a quote, your committee’s minutes.
By phone, call or text (509) 724-0331 and leave a message for a call back. We can take your report over the phone, then email you a copy to confirm.
Who reports to the Council
Our bylaws require all committees and the Community Assembly Representative to report to the Council. We use the same reporting process for other representatives so everyone has a consistent way to share their work. The people currently serving are listed on Board Members & Committees.
When reports are due
General meetings are the third Thursday of odd-numbered months. Every deadline counts back from that Thursday.
- 21 days before — your deadline. Written reports are due. The Vice Chair confirms receipt, follows up on anything missing, and identifies agenda needs.
- 14 days before — Executive Committee. The Executive Committee reviews the reports and proposed agenda, then approves the agenda, including speakers and time allocations.
- 3 days before — the final cutoff. A report that arrives now still goes in the meeting packet and the records, but Executive Committee review and agenda time are not guaranteed.
- Meeting day. The Council meets, 6:00–7:30 p.m. Details are on Attend Meetings.
What goes in a report
- What your committee did since its last report — meetings held, work done, who you talked to.
- What is coming next — what the committee is working on and anything already scheduled.
- Council attention or action? Whether you need Council discussion, direction, or a formal vote, and what you are asking the Council to do.
- Anything you are attaching — a map, photo or drawing, a quote, your committee’s minutes.
Nothing new to report?
That is still a report, and we still need it. Say there are no new updates and send it in. It tells the Council the committee is active and nothing is waiting on it.
If your committee met after the reporting deadline, that meeting goes in the next reporting cycle. If something from a later meeting needs Council attention sooner, contact the Vice Chair or Chair promptly.
