Council Operations · Updated Oct. 14, 2026
The council’s bylaws were reviewed and adopted on September 17. Amendments are now being prepared.
What’s happening
The council reviewed its bylaws and adopted the current version at the September 17 general meeting. Amendments are now being written for adoption.
The proposed amendments cover how a quorum is counted and how the council and its committees can meet and vote by email, phone or online between general meetings. They will be presented at the November 19 meeting. Under the bylaws, voting members vote on them at the next regular meeting, in January 2027.
Why it matters
Bylaws set how the council makes decisions. Clear rules help every neighbor understand how to take part and how decisions get made.
